Project Background: Client Challenges & Objectives
"Kurashi no Labo" (Lifestyle Lab), operated by TEPCO Energy Partner, is an ongoing video series delivering practical, everyday tips to viewers. While maintaining a weekly upload schedule is essential for building strong audience engagement, planning and producing high-quality content every week presented significant challenges in terms of budget, resource allocation, and production speed. This project aimed to establish a sustainable, high-quality video production workflow capable of maintaining a consistent weekly release schedule without compromising on quality.
Key Highlights: Production & Technical Craft
To sustain premium quality across weekly releases, we designed an ultra-efficient production workflow. For filming, we introduced a "batch-shooting" model, capturing four to five episodes in a single day, which drastically reduced scheduling overhead and production costs. Additionally, leveraging the deep industry network and credibility of the channel's host, the "Kaden-Oh" (Home Appliance King), we secure complimentary loans of the latest home appliances directly from leading manufacturers. This approach enhances the authority and value of our reviews while keeping procurement costs to an absolute minimum.
AI Integration & Workflow Optimization
The engine behind our consistent weekly delivery is a hybrid production model that fuses AI technology with human creative expertise.
For scriptwriting, we leverage AI to rapidly generate initial plot outlines and concepts. A professional director then refines and rewrites these drafts, significantly accelerating the planning and scripting phases while maintaining editorial rigor. For thumbnail creation—the critical first impression of any video—we use AI to generate the base visuals, which are then finalized by a graphic designer who handles layout and typography. This workflow allows us to mass-produce polished, high-impact thumbnails quickly, ensuring a premium look and feel for every episode.

By establishing a highly reliable weekly publishing pipeline, we helped TEPCO Energy Partner build a loyal, active community, transforming their video content from transient advertising into an invaluable, long-term brand asset.
